CELEKS Nozzle Type Conical Check Valves are used to overcome the disadvantages of conventional check valves where smooth, silent operation and fast reaction is required. The valves have various advantages like:

  •  High response to sudden flow changes, i.e., fast closure
  • Smooth and quiet operation due to correct positioning of the disc at every instant
  • Tight shut-off with perfect reliability due to metal to metal sealing
  • Space economy due to attachment free compact design
  • Ability in vertical, horizontal and inclined positioning
  • Long service life by the help of shockless operation
  • Self cleaning characteristics and protected spring and inner components.
  • Easy erection or easy substitution to existing lines due to standard face to face dimensions.

Properties

End user and operators now demand fully non-slam performance from more compact check valves, particularly in weight and space-sensitive locations.

The NOZZLE high dynamic check valve has been developed specifically to meet these customer requirements, based on more than 70 years experience of assisting industry to solve process problems. Modern computer simulations, coupled with hydraulic studies, have resulted in this type of check valve.

An additional benefit of this check valve design is its long service life as the moving parts are not subjected to the shocks associated with typical asymmetric valve designs and thanks to the smooth closing effect.

The CELEKS Nozzle high dynamic check valve was designed to meet three mandatory requirements: non-slam, very fast closure and short installation length. This very space-efficient non-return valve is currently the world‘s most compact, fully non-slam valve available for sizes from DN150 up to DN1000 and all pressure classes. The optimum dynamic design of the valve internal parts allows the disc to respond very quickly to any flow changes. This rapid response to process changes ensures that the disc is correctly positioned at all times and is fundamental to achieving fully non-slam closure. With proper attention to the flow parameters, the valve can achieve movement from fully open to fully close in less than 0.15 seconds.

The reduced length available within the valve for optimum pressure recovery is offset by the other installation advantages of the CELEKS design. The single helical spring is fully shielded from the process stream by the central flow diffuser. The metal-to-metal sealing achieves tight shut-off with 100% reliability and no weak link or soft seals to cause premature valve failure. The CELEKS nozzle check valve is suitable for installation in any position (horizontal, vertical or inclined).
